About:
Modern Ui is inspired by the struggle of day to day headaches and problems that reside in enterprise and corporate web application/software development. There seems to be an ever growing gap between the needs of the end-user and meeting the needs of the business requirements on any given project. While the industry as a whole has taken large steps to be more mindful of User Experience, we are far from achieving the goal of Usability Needs driving Business Needs. As the web becomes more social and as those social aspects of the web become more integrated into everything we touch, the problems of Social Usability become more and more pronounced. Modern Ui is a resource for executives and developers that have been brought together to find common and lasting solutions to these problems. This site is designed to aggregate Usability and User Experience news to provide a central source or starting point in watching the industry and learning more about the ever changing web. Modern Ui is also home to Patrick J. Wilson, an accomplished User Experience professional and author of Modern Ui, Social Usability for web 2.0 and beyond.
