Cash for Clunkers Out of Cash? Not Anymore!

The Cash for Clunkers program, designed to get those old gas-guzzling, pollution spewing motor vehicles off the road almost ran out of cash … But, the House stepped in and approved $2 billion more in emergency spending today to keep the scheme alive. The program has been so popular, the first $1 billion was gone in a week. Next week, the Senate will jump in and likely shore up the spending.
